The mysterious disappearance of a 21-year-old Amity University, has sent the Noida Police into a tizzy as it has failed to locate his whereabouts. The student went missing from his paying guest accommodation in Chalera village on March 16 this year
Identified as Himanshu Ranjan Pandey a third year BTech Computer Science student with Amity University in Noida was last seen on March 16 of this year. There has been no information about him since then. His worried parents lodged a missing case was registered at sector-39 police station in Noida on March 18.
Whereas, alleging negligence on police part to find his missing son, Hrishikesh Pandey his father working as Junior Engineer with Border Road Organisation (BRO) in Imphal, has left no stone unturned to find his child.
“After police told me that my son’s last transaction through his debit card was tracked and a ticket to Kasol in Himachal Pradesh was booked in Delhi, I left for Kasol on the next day in search of Himanshu but could not find him,” said Pandey.
“Kullu Special Cell Police has assigned two police officials to trace down my child in Kasol but so far nothing could be traced.
“According to his friends, he seemed fine and did not share anything regarding leaving for Kasol. Himanshu left from his PG at 3.15 pm on March 16. He has missed his last two exams. His mobile was suddenly switched off around 4pm same day. I am in extreme grief. It is getting very difficult for me to find Himanshu,” added Pandey.
“Search for Himanshu Ranjan Pandey is in Progress. The Himachal Pradesh Police in Kasol and Noida Police are working and trying their best to find Himashu. Police teams are even questioning students and his friends to know his whereabouts. Further investigation is going on,” said Prashant Kapil, Station House Officer (SHO), Noida Police.
