Habibganj police have booked a 21-year-old youth for sexually assaulting and exploiting an 18-year-old girl at Bagh Mughalia locality for three days; victim was raped on the on February 14 and held captive for till Saturday.

Police said that the victim went to meet the accused identified as Sumit at his house where the victim was sexually assaulted after serving tea laced with sedatives. The victim managed to escape on Saturday and reported the incident to the police.

In her complaint victim stated that she became friend around six months ago with the accused and on Valentine Day accused invited her for outing and took her to his house where he stays alone. At his house accused served her tea laced with sedatives and sexually assaulted her and held her captive for the next two days and lured her that he would marry her.

The victim is a resident of Janta Nagar and left her studies after 8th standard and around six months ago she came in contact with accused Sumit who lives in Bagh Mugalia area.

The accused raped her and captivated her for two more next days during which she was raped multiple times by luring her of marrying her. On Saturday that the victim managed to escape from his home and reached her home where she narrated her ordeal to family members. Later the family members and victim lodged a complaint with the Habibganj police.

The police have registered a case of kidnap and sexual assault against the accused who is still at large. The victim was not aware of all details of the accused and based on the information provided police have started search for the accused.
