Ajay Bhatt calls protesting hoteliers in Nainital for talks

Wednesday, 26 June 2019 | PNS | Dehradun

Taking cognisance of black flags put up by hoteliers in Nainital, BJP State president and Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar MP Ajay Bhatt talked to the Kumaon commissioner and asked him to call the hoteliers for talks.

He said that due to inadequate parking space, a number of tourists are turning back from Nainital which is also denting the image of Nainital and Uttarakhand.

The seriousness of the situation can be gauged from the black flags being put by business establishments in that town, he said.

Earlier, the hotel and restaurant association head Dinesh Sah alleged that mismanagement by the administration had affected 60 per cent of the tourism business in Nainital this summer.

He had called an emergency meeting of the association on Monday in which the fraternity members decided to undertake a planned movement against the attitude of the authorities.
