Ashok Rohilla, 3 others to face fresh murder charge

Wednesday, 11 September 2019 | PNS | DEHRADUN

In the murders of Kamna Rohilla and Ajay Verma alias Rinku, district police have recovered the DNA sample and post-mortem report and other necessary documents.

According to Superintendent of Police (city) Shweta Choubey, on the basis of clothes and other evidence found in Rajasthan, where Verma was allegedly murdered and his body dumped, the police will proceed further accordingly.

SP Choubey said, “A team from here had gone to Rajasthan with the investigation officer.

After contacting the local police and local people there, they got to know that an unidentified dead body was found on November 6 last year at Sikar in Rajasthan.

The local police had conducted the post-mortem and kept the DNA sample of that body. Now, we will proceed in our investigation accordingly.”

According to the officials,   police are so far certain about the identity of the dead body, but if required, his DNA sample that the team has recovered will be matched with his parents.

Accordingly, police will file another case of murder under section 302 of the Indian Penal

Code (IPC) against all four accused including the alleged mastermind behind these murders Ashok Rohilla in Dehradun.

Sources further stated that that police team already clarified the identity of the dead body found, by showing the photographs to one of the accused Gaurav Sharma and the guardians of deceased Verma.

It is pertinent to mention here that both Ashok and Kamna had doubt on each other’s character.

Police suspect that it was Ashok’s plan to eliminate Kamna from

the equation so that he can live with his rumoured partner.

He planned to blame the murder of his wife on Verma, so he first allegedly eliminated him from the picture.

It is also important to mention here that one accused in this case, Parvez, is still at large.
