Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday accompanied Congress president Rahul Gandhi in election campaign in Madhya Pradesh for the seventh and last phase of the general elections.
Baghel also addressed three public meetings held at Neemach, Ujjain and Khandwa. Addressing a meeting, he claimed that “the tremendous energy and the commitment of such a large number of people present in the meeting clearly indicates that Modi government at the Centre is going beyond the range of his (Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s) radar.”
Launching a scathing attack on the Prime Minister and his government, Baghel said as they have failed to deliver the promises made, they would not return to power.
“Modi has lost the trust of people of the country as he has failed in every aspects be it the enforcement of Goods and Service Tax (GST), Demonetization or the promise of providing jobs to youth”, he said.
Baghel further claimed that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was going to form the next government at the Centre and appealed to the voters to vote in favour of Congress candidates.
The CM on Wednesday would be accompanying Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi in campaign in Varanasi from where the PM is locked in a direct contest with Congress’s Ajay Rai.
