DVC employees have stepped forward to spread the word about the importance of voting and the right to vote. In this connection, a Voters’ Awareness campaign was organised by District administration at station club here on Thursday.
The Voters Awareness programme was organised at the club to create awareness about the right to vote among the officials of Bokaro thermal. The awareness drive about the right to vote was successfully conducted under the guidance of the Bokaro DC Shailesh Kumar Chaurasia, DDC Ravi Ranjan Mishra and Civil SDO Bermo.
On the occasion Bokaro DC said that their aim is to ensure 100 per cent voter turnout by creating awareness among the public The employees of DVC, Bokaro thermal actively participated in the campaign. Even the first-time voters were also a part of the drive where, they spread awareness about the right to vote and also the importance of this right.
The DC motivated the officials of DVC to vote and cast their vote righteously. The DC successfully motivated the employees for the right to vote through various activities. Notably, the programme was held to appeal to voters of the city to make sure that they cast their vote on May12. The slogans like "saare kaam chhod do sabse pehle vote do, Matdaan mera haq hai" were circulated among the people to make them aware of the significance of voting.
Later, the DC administered voters awareness pledge to local peoples and employees. Administration also distributed pamphlets carrying the pledge to the people, it is an attempt to encourage DVC employees to cast their votes without failed, added the DC.
As many as 150 employees including Chief engineer Kamlesh Kumar, CE, Nikhil Kumar Chaudhay, Dy CE B.K Mandal, Abbey Sinha, Niraj Sinha and local participated in the Voter’s Awareness compaign spreading the good word of voting.
