Panic gripped the Bijipur-Ambikanagar area here after a bomb was hurled at a youth in the locality on Saturday night. But the youth, Manoj Behera, miraculously escaped with only minor injuries.
Monoj was going on a bike when three bike-borne youths coming from the opposite side threw a bomb at him.
However, the bomb fell on the ground and went off. Monoj received injuries in the leg.
The reason behind the incident is past enmity, said Brahmapur Twon SDPO Bishnu Prasad Pati. The Town police have started searching the miscreants.
