Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed Chief Secretary to chalk out an integrated plan for security of women and girls in the state within two weeks.
Baghel said that no progress is possible in any society without participation of women. In Chhattisgarh's development as well, women play an important role.
He said that it is an important responsibility of the state government to provide safe and positive environment for women in the society, and Chhattisgarh government is determined and committed to ensure safety and well-being of women.
Chief Minister said that the increasing number of cases of crime against women has alarmed the state government to take even more effective steps to ensure security of women.
Police Administration and Women Child Development are conducting different schemes for welfare and security of women, which needs to be integrated for results.
Baghel said that home department and women and child development department should jointly prepare an integrated plan within two weeks.
Chief Minister also gave instructions to make dial 112 service more practical and effective. Advanced technology should be utilised to provide immediate help to women and multiple mobile apps should be developed for the same.
