Chhattisgarh has bagged national award for outstanding work in nutrition campaign. Union Ministry for Women and Child Development will felicitate the state with citation and cash reward at a function to be held at convention hall at Chanakyapuri in national capital on Friday.
Official sources informed that the Chhattisgarh state was adjudged second nationwide in two of the categories. The state bagged award in group-A Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) for regular monitoring of Anganwadi children through software.
Similarly, it got second prize in contract education process, skill development and community activities, sources added.
Besides, Durg district was adjudged best district, Kartala (Korba),the best Block and Best Anganwadi Worker, Mitanin, Supervisor and ANM team award was given to Batauli (Surguja) and Patan (Durg), sources informed.
Sources further informed that each of the team of Anganwadi workers, Mitanins, supervisors, ANM team will be rewarded with cash prize of Rs 2.5 Lakh.
The state which has been adjudged the second in time bound target work under group A will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 50 Lakh, sources added.
