The State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday claimed that the party will clean sweep the fourth phase of polling for the State Assembly election out of total five phases.

Addressing a Press meet State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said at the media center at Argora in Ranchi that there is a strong wave in favour of BJP in the entire State.

“BJP is poised to win all the 15 seats in the fourth phase. People are openly supporting BJP candidates on the issue of development and stable government,” said Shahdeo.

The party Spokesperson said that huge gathering of people is being witnessed in the election rallies of leaders of BJP like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Raghubar Das, BJP National Executive president JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Smriti Irani and others. This is showing that opposition will be wiped out from the State, he added.

“The public is seeing that there is contradiction within the coalition of opposition parties. The public will never accept the alliance formed to loot the State. The account of all opposition parties including Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will not be opened in this phase. Hemant Soren himself will be defeated from Barhet and Dumka in the last phase of polling. Soren should look for new seat for 2024,” said Shahdeo.

On the issue of Saryu Roy campaigning in favour of Hemant Soren, the party Spokesperson said that this whole episode shows personal things are more important for Saryu Roy ji. “That is why he sometimes used to call Hemant Soren as corrupt. But, at present he is going to campaign by saying that since Hemant Soren favoured him in Jamshedpur so that he is going to Santhal to help Soren,” he added.

Shahdeo said that two ways of character are not appropriate in politics. “On one hand, Saryu Roy speaks of high moral ideals and on the other hand, he is going to campaign for Soren family, which has looted land of tribal and locals,” he added.

“Saryu Roy had alleged that EVM hackers were staying in a hotel yesterday. Police had to interrogate some innocent people of that hotel till late night on the instructions of the Election Commission. But the whole charge turned out to be false. All this shows that Saryu Roy ji is making baseless allegations in frustration,” said Shahdeo.
