CM directs DMs to remain alert

The chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has directed all the district magistrates to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place to meet any challenge considering the possibility of heavy rain in the state. The chief minister said that considering the heavy rain forecast by the meteorological centre, special alertness needs to be observed. Rawat directed all the district magistrates to remain alert for tackling any type of disaster while also ensuring that the response is swift on receipt of information about any type of such mishappening. Rawat further said that the district disaster control room should also be consistently inspected. Strict action should be taken against any staff member found to be negligent towards duty. The district magistrates have also been directed to remain in constant touch with public representatives in view of the disaster scenario. The list of phone numbers of public representatives at the local level should also be updated so that communication can be established without any delay in case of any type of incident, stressed the chief minister.
