Congress in-charge of Jharkhand R P N Singh urged the people here in the ‘Desh Bachao’ rally held today in Daltonganj to ensure defeat of the BJP Government which is a Government of “jhooth and jumla” (lies & mere pronouncements).
Singh said the Chowkidar (security guard) of the country is a thief and asked people to shout it and when Singh found the sound not much stronger had to repeat his request to chant it more strongly. The crowd did but not feverishly any more.
R P N Singh talked about joblessness in the country and he got applause from the gathering.
Palamu Congress had held a ‘Desh Bachao’ rally here today and the district president Jeyesh Ranjan Pathak alias Bittu Pathak, for whom it was his first mega political show came out too successfully as even the veteran Congress leader Dadai Dubey not seen in public life for over two years today not only shared the dais but he in his speech in Bhojpuri asked the impressive gathering to vote for the Congress.
It was Dubey’s Bhojpuri speech that in fact spurred R P N Singh to speak in the same dialect who raised Bharat Mata ki jai and the crowd just chorused with him full throated.
Former Congress MLA K N Tripathi in his speech pumped patriotic oxygen in the crowd when he in his speech asked PM Modi to take revenge of the loss of 42 troopers martyred in Pulwama in Srinagar. He lashed at the BJP the hardest way.
R P N Singh did the best of thing when on reaching the dais here he asked everyone there not to beat drums or exchange any flower but stand in silence for a minute and the entire gathering stood in memory of the troopers so slain in the terror attack. Singh in his speech said BJP remembers Lord Ram only when the election is around as only last year it had asked people to light one candle in the name of Ram. “What is this? Is this not a political gimmick?” quipped Singh.
‘Chor’ has become a stock in trade with Congress party as State Congress president Dr Ajoy Kumar in his speech termed Raghubar Das as ‘Anda Chore’ and wished the crowd to lap it up but the crowd just did not cherish this term for CM.
State Congress president’s remark of egg thief was in the back drop of the decision of this BJP Government in which it has reduced the number of eggs in mid day meal from 3 a week to 2 a week now.
The State Congress chief again plunged quite insincerely when he naming a BJP MP said “His party is against Valentine day but for song on cash the man went out in one such party.” In the Desh Bachao rally Rahul Gandi was hysterically chanted but none chanted Priyanka Gandhi. There was no slogan for here in this ‘Desh Bachao’ rally.
