A councillor’s husband was shot at Chawla Chowk in Dalanwala area on Wednesday evening. The injured man has been identified as Rakesh Valmiki, the husband of councillor Neetu Valmiki. He has been sent to a private hospital on Mussoorie Road, where his treatment is ongoing.
Superintendent of Police (city), Shweta Choubey, said that the police had received information about the incident and the injured is undergoing treatment. The investigation and the search for the accused is ongoing.
According to sources, Valmiki and the accused had some heated argument going on about transaction of money.
