EIORWU holds Biju death anniversary

The Eastern India Oil Refinery Workers Union (EIORWU) observed the 22nd death anniversary of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik amid rituals and various activities here on Wednesday.

The Union members held Tila Tarpan on the sea beach and conducted pujas at nearby temples. Then, they distributed fruits to patients in Kujang and Paradip Government hospitals.

The memorial meeting held in the Zero point union office premises was presided over by union president Santosh Kumar Pattnaik. Vice- president Manindra Guru, Paradip Port-affected Land Losers and Farmers Association president Chinmay Das, secretary Mihir Kanta Sahoo. Kujang block BJD SC cell president Abhiram Samal and senior union member Netrananda Samal were present.

They discussed about the life and achievements of Bijubabu, particularly on his dream project, the Paradip Port. All members of the union were present.
