Govt committed to better health facilities at RIMS: CM

Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that government is committed to provide better health facilities and arrangements at RIMS. Holding a review meeting of RIMS at Project Building here on Wednesday the CM said that poor people come for treatment at RIMS and for them government is ready for every possible help.

The CM said that new and spacious OPD will be constructed at RIMS. “Few complaints related to machine failure have been received. The head of the department has the responsibility to repair the machine within a week. Late response in such matter will attract action. List of doctors practicing in private clinics has been received. Now ACB will investigate the matter,” he said instructing officials to lodge case against the middlemen at the premier health institution of the State.

It was decided in the meeting that posts of senior resident practitioners will be created within 15 days. Recruitment of nurses will be completed in a month. Safety standards will be fully complied with. Police will take care of the security arrangements. The CM instructed DGP Kamal Nayan Choubey to visit RIMS and provide security force as per need. In case of accidents, keep a team for OD. Security forces will work in three shifts. He also gave instructions for issuing gate pass to relative of patient.

The CM asked to make the stock of the drug computerized, so that the correct information about the availability of the drug can be ensured. He directed the removal of the shops built on the RIMS premises. They will be provided space somewhere else. Mark the parking area and ensure parking in the given area.

Chief Secretary Dr. DK Tiwari, Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of Finance KK Khandelwal, DGP Kamal Nayan Chaubey, Principal Secretary to CM Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Secretary, Department of Health Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Secretary of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Aradhana Patnaik, Secretary, Department of Building Construction, Sunil Kumar, Director of RIMS Dinesh Kumar Singh and others were present in the meeting.
