Rainfall and thundery activities have started after a lull phase for around a week and in the past two days heavy spells have been witnessed across the state and state capital. The weather conditions would prevail for the next 48 hours as warned by Met department on Friday.
Heavy rains lashed the state capital in the evening which witnessed clear sky during day on Friday. The state capital recorded 2 cm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
Among the nearby regions Hoshangabad recorded good rainfall and 4 cm of rainfall till 5 in the evening on Friday.
Warning of heavy rainfall has been issued for Rajgarh,Sehore, Shajapur, Khandwa, Sagar, Rewa, Harda, Mandsaur, Ujjain, Agar, Dewas districts which are likely to receive rainfall in the next 48 hours.
After the spell of rainfall has started across the state Met has forecasted that rainfall would be witnessed in the next 24 hours in the state. Most of the parts of Sagar, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Shahdol recorded rainfall in the past 24 hours.
A cyclonic circulation over north east part of the state and adjoining south Uttar Pradesh is inducing good rainfall apart from other persisting systems.
The difference in the day and night temperature increased. Cold conditions are witnessed in the night while in the day weather conditions are moderate.
In the past 24 hours Udaipura recorded 7 cm of rainfall which was the highest rainfall, Biora recorded 6 cm of rainfall, Karera, Rewa and Khandwa recorded 4 cm of rainfall.
