Modi brought development politics to fore: Nadda

Saturday, 05 October 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

BJP national executive president Jagat Prakash Nadda today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed the course of politics in the country from caste based politics to development politics. Nadda, while addressing party workers in North Chhotanagpur workers conference in Hazaribag on Friday said the workers to be ready for proper booth management to win maximum seats in the upcoming Assembly polls.

“There was a time when coalitions of parties were based on caste, but Modi ji changed this culture. A culture of development emerged and we transformed Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas into reality. This is the change. We are all proud that we are members of the Bharatiya Janata Party, which has leadership from the Lok Sabha to the Panchayat level. The ideology, on which the BJP is working today, is becoming famous in the world. Because our policy and intention is clear,” said Nadda. He further said that only those who talked about water, forest and land in Jharkhand kept Jharkhand poor. “Now there is talk of women, farmers and prosperity of the village. Providing 5 to 25 thousand rupees for agricultural work under the Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana on the lines of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, connecting 57 lakh families of the state with Ayushman Bharat Yojana, formation of Sakhi Mandal, stoves and other refills under Ujjwala scheme are indicators of change,” said he.   Nadda said, “Due to the passion of the workers and the devotion towards the party, we crossed the 282 Lok Sabha seats in 2014 to reach 303 in 2019. BJP's reach of 6 states is visible to 17 states.

In the Assembly elections to be held in 2019, we have to win all the seats in the 23 constituencies of the division. All of you workers should take care of your booth. People want to vote. I am sure all of you will discharge your responsibilities,” he added. The national executive president of the party said that a membership campaign was launched after the formation of the government at the Centre. Under this campaign the number of BJP members increased from 11 crore to 17 crore in 56 days.

In these 56 days, 1 lakh 85 thousand workers have added new members. Addressing party workers on the occasion CM Raghubar Das said that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi used to say that one rupee from Delhi reaches the poor in the form of 15 paise. But, now this does not happen. “This is not a corrupt Congress Government. This is the BJP Government. Now, the entire rupee from Delhi is reaching the beneficiaries. This is good governance. No Congress-like misrule.

This is the same Congress which committed many scams by making Jharkhand a laboratory. But the people of the State formed a strong Government 5 years ago. A flawless government is due to the public today,” he said. Das said that in the 2019 Assembly elections, all workers have to show the same dedication and honesty that they showed in Lok Sabha polls. “We have to go beyond 65 seats while doing politics of service.

Now there is a stable government. After 2014, not a single charge of corruption was levelled against the Government. Today the government of double engine is being discussed all over the country,” he said. The CM said that to reach the top in the BJP, workers do not have to be born in a particular family. A member of a poor family can also become Prime Minister, Chief Minister. But other teams do not have it.

To reach the top of the party one would need to be born in a particular family. There is no politics of dynasty, libel and sectism in the BJP. We are in favour of the politics of development, he added.
