National cyber crime reporting portal launched

Ministry of Home has launched the national cyber crime reporting portal where the citizens can log on to https://cybercrime.gov.in and lodge complaint on cyber crimes.

The complaints have been kept in two categories women-child related and other cyber complaints.

The complaint lodged on the portal will be obtained by the nodal officer of the concerned state. Cyber Crime State Nodal Officer will then forward the said complaint to concerned Superintendent of Police (SP) at district level.

State level monitoring of the cyber crime will be done so that within specified time-limit the work is completed. In each district of the state an Additional Superintendent of Police has been appointed as cyber nodal officer. The police headquarters toll free number is 155260. The citizen during the office hours from 10.30 AM to 5.30 PM can register their complaint.
