Nehru committed Kashmir blunder via 370: Chouhan

Despite severe criticism from the Congress party, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on Monday reiterated that late Jawaharlal Nehru had committed a crime while introducing Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Chouhan undeterred after the criticism hurled at him by Congress leaders, reiterated his stance on Monday saying whatever he said was based on the facts.

“I am firm on my statement, claimed Chouhan. Whatever I had said in Odisha had said with utmost responsibility, said Chouhan adding that Nehru’s mistake has been rectified by Modi-Shah.

Till now I considered Modi-Shah my leaders but following their decision on Kashmir, I have started idolising them, claimed the BJP national vice president. He added he respects all great personalities but the nation was above all for him.

Couple of days ago, the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister replying to a query during the membership drive at Odisha had commented on Nehru regarding article 370 in J&K.

“Due to special inclination to Sheikh Abdullah, Nehru had introduced article 370 in J&K so I consider it was a crime,” claimed Chouhan.

He committed another crime, Chouhan said, when Kabailis (Pakistan’s Pastun tribals) were pushed behind by Indian army in Kashmir in 1947, Nehru had announced ceasefire which led to one-third portion of Kashmir being left with Pakistan.

If one-third portion of Kashmir is not a part of India, then Nehru is responsible for that, Chouhna had added. It wasn’t a mistake but a crime, Chouhan had quipped.

Then law minister Dr BR Ambedkar had voiced opposition for article 370 then Nehru had got this draft prepared from someone else.
