Nepal’s Dy PM felicitated at Patanjali Yogpeeth

The deputy Prime Minister of Nepal, Upendra Yadav, was felicitated by Yoga guru Swami Ramdev and his aide Acharya Balkrishna at the Patanjali Yogpeeth on Friday. Also, to strengthen Patanjali's Swadeshi campaign and education system, a consultative committee of Patanjali University was formed.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the deputy PM of Nepal said that Nepal and India are two different nations but they share many similarities.

He said that along with geographical similarities, India and Nepal are directly and indirectly connected through ancient culture, civilisation, great personalities and rivers of both nations.

He said that Patanjali had made considerable contribution in health of people across the world.  Nepal and India have a plethora of herbs, which are providing healing to the world.

Referring to the Patanjali Research Institute he said that ancient Yoga-Ayurveda are being redesigned by connecting these with modern science and beliefs.

Across the world, various non-communicable diseases and lifestyle disorders are rising at an alarming rate. Yoga and Ayurveda are the most effective ways of tackling such health issues, he opined.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Ramdev said that Nepal and India had inherited friendship.

Both the nations are moving ahead on the path of progress.

He expressed hope that the Government of Nepal would achieve the heights desired by its populace.
