Thursday, 10 January 2019 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

Residents of North Delhi can register all the complaints pertaining to the North Corporation by just dialing a centralised toll free number 155304.

NMC Mayor Adesh Gupta said the move is taken to bring more transparency and accountability in administration besides providing easy access of civic services to citizens.

Gupta said as soon as the complaint is received at this number, the software would sort out subject and area-wise and forward the complaint automatically to the concerned authority for its timely redressal. "The complainant would get an SMS confirming about their complaint along with a link to know the real time status of the complaint online. The complainant can also know the status of their complaint by clicking the link sent to them," he said.

Mayor further said that the civic body received approx 2161 complaints per month. "The residents can lodge 37 types of complaints on this number. The complaints   such as Garbage dumping, sweeping, Water logging, air pollution, dangerous buildings, pot holes etc can be registered on this platform," he said.

The Chairperson of Standing Committee Veena Virmani, Commissioner Varsha Joshi, Additional Commissioner R S Meena and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
