The forces have intensified the search operation in the Maoist–hit Nawadih police station area for the past few days. Maoists itching to create fresh terror in the area to stay their business, had another failure when the police successfully averted a major disaster by recovering one piece of powerful Cane bomb connected with electronic detonator near Parasnath forest areas.

The operation, carried out by himself SP, Giridih, ASP Giridih, Madhuban officer–in charge Rautu Honhaga and Upendra Kumar, Officer in-Charge Pirtand in association with other forces ended on Monday evening. However, no arrest could be made as the can bomb was found dumped, said ASP Deepak Kumar.

In course of a combing operation in the Naxal-hit jungles, the team came across a cane bomb planted on the Dumari-Madhuwan road. It was aimed at blowing the police patrolling party. The cane bomb was about to blast but fortunately it as detected and defused within time by an anti-bomb squid.
