A 26-year-old woman died because of administering wrong injection by a quack at Chechariya village under Banshidhar Nagar police station in Garhwa district on Friday. After the incident the quack ran away. The person died at the quack’s clinic but the quack said she was alive and referred her to sub-divisional government hospital at Banshidhar Nagar, where it was revealed that the patient had died time some time ago.
According to police, the deceased Sushila Devi (26) a native of Barodih village had complained of itching. Her husband Manoj Ram had taken his wife to the clinic of Guljar Ahmad, where she was administered injection.
When condition of his wife was deteriorated thereafter Ahmad again administered two injections. Ahmad lied to Shushila's husband and other people that her condition is serious and she was referred to government hospital Banshidhar Nagar, where doctors declared her dead.
Oncomplaint of husband Manoj Ram police recovered the dead body and sent to Garhwa hospital for autopsy. "Police also started probe by lodging a case under section 304," said officer in-charge Pankaj Tiwari.
