Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Chief Electoral Officer, U.T, Ajoy Kumar Sinha, on Tuesday chaired a review meeting with nodal officers to assess the preparedness in the constituency of Chandigarh.
During the meeting, officials discussed issues like continuous and correct updation of electoral rolls, timely distribution of voter ID cards, polling station arrangements, strengthening of manpower, expenditure monitoring, swift flow of communication and requirements of each officer related to the activities assigned to them for participative and fair conduct of elections.
The CEO directed all nodal officers to ensure that smooth coordination is maintained among each election related official and training is provided to them where required for seamless conduct of election related matters.
