SDMC Commissioner transferred to Goa

The Commissioner of South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) Puneet Kumar Goel has been transferred to Goa as per the order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday.

Goel, a 1991-batch officer (AGMUT Cadre) was appointed as Commissioner of SDMC on 24th December, 2014.  Before that he had worked as Transport Commissioner (GNCTD); Director (Finance), Delhi Jal Board (DJB); Secretary (Power) and Additional General Manager (AGM) of erstwhile Delhi Vidyut Board (DVB). He has gained wide experience in Urban Water Supply, Urban Transport and Urban Electric Supply.  Being Commissioner of SDMC, he introduced several measures to improve the financial health of the civic body besides providing online facilities for building permit, trade license and constructing pink toilets especially for women.
