Wednesday, 08 May 2019 | PNS | SUKMA

A man was thrashed to death in insurgency-hit Sukma district by suspected Naxals who branded him as police informer, police said here on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Kadti Ganga (35), a resident of Maraiguda village under Errabor police station limits.

“Few armed Naxals on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday stormed into the house of Ganga and took him away,” SP Sukma DS Maravi said.

Later on Tuesday morning his body was found nearby along with a hand written note which said “Kadti Ganga was killed by Naxal PLGA. If anyone in the village is working for the police then they must stop doing so or else they will be also killed. Konta area committee CPI (Maoist).”

Police has registered a complaint in this connection, the SP said.
