A few days after the rape of a minor girl in Jatni of Khordha district, two minor girls were allegedly raped in Nayagarh and Bhadrak districts on Thursday.
In the first incident, a minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth in a village under Fatehgarh police station of Nayagarh. The youth reportedly took the minor to an isolated spot on pretext of giving her lift to home and allegedly raped her.
The accused was nabbed by the villagers and thrashed black and blue before being handed over to police. The victim, on the other hand, was rescued in an unconscious state and rushed to a hospital.
In another incident, a minor girl was sexually assaulted by a youth under the Sadar police station of Bhadrak district. The girl was rescued in a critical condition with injuries on her head.
It was alleged that the accused attempted to kill the victim after raping her.
While police have detained a person in connection with the incident, the girl was admitted to Bhadrak hospital.
