Scores of residents of Sriramachandrapur Sasan villageunder Satyabadi block have alleged irregularities against the local Anganawadi Worker.
Besides alleging corruption in distribution of goods, they have complained of misbehaviour from the woman staff ofthe Anganwadi Centre. In a written complaint to the district Collector,the villagers sought an investigation into misappropriation of goods and action on the erring Anganwadi Worker and some staff members of the block office.
The residents charged that the goods coming to the center fordistribution in village are siphoned of by Anganwadi Worker Sulochana Mishra. They said the worker has been arbitrary in distributing goods tosome people of her choice and neglecting many residents. Besides, sheis also engaged in arbitrary addition and deletion of names from beneficiary list by help of some corrupt block officials, charged the villagers.
They decided to further place the grievance in a block-level review meeting of Collector in Satyabadi scheduled on Monday.
