Will intensify preparations for no-deal Brexit: Ireland

Thursday, 17 January 2019 | AFP | Dublin

The Irish Government on Tuesday said it would intensify preparations for a no-deal Brexit after British MPs overwhelming voted to reject a divorce deal that UK Prime Minister Theresa May had struck with EU leaders.

“Regrettably, the outcome of tonight’s vote increases the risk of a disorderly Brexit. Consequently, the Government will continue to intensify preparations for such an outcome,” Dublin said in a statement.
