Ten districts of West Bengal and Bihar’s capital Patna will face strict week-long lockdown as coronavirus cases surged in both the States.
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has warned the “lax” citizens against the severity of coronavirus directing the police to take strong measures who do not follow the protocols.
The State Government has decided to enforce strict lockdown procedures in the containment zones which together with the buffer zones would be regarded as containment zones.
Patna will remain under lockdown from July 10 to July 16, the District Magistrate ordered on Wednesday. The announcement came with the State witnessing a steady increase in the number of coronavirus cases being reported on a daily basis.
