After death of leopad, Hry Wildlife steps up anti-poaching surveillance

In what is believed to be a case of poaching, after lodging an FIR at a Police Station in Panchkula against unidentified persons for causing serious injuries to a leopard, which died at Pipli Zoo, Kurukshetra, the Haryana State Wildlife department instructed all DFOs (Wildlife), particularly those with sensitive wildlife habitats, to increase anti-poaching surveillance in their jurisdictional limit.

A five-year-old leopard which was rescued by Wildlife officials after it fell into a 15-foot-deep tank in Tikri village in Morni block on May 7, died during the course of treatment on Saturday.
