21 cases cleared in a day by Consumer Comm

Bhopal: As many as 21 cases including other appeal cases, registered at the Madhya Pradesh State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission were redressed in a single day on the basis of mutual agreement between the parties and awards worth Rs 32 lakh 92 thousand 680 were passed. Chairman Justice Shantanu S Kemkar and member SS Bansal of the 2 Member Bench of the State Commission redressed 21 case on the basis of mutual agreement of the parties. The award with highest amount of  Rs 23.03 lakh was passed in the case of Pratima Atre v/s Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Ltd. Adhering to the norm of social distancing protocol for protection from corona infection, hearing in the cases was commenced by the Madhya Pradesh State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission through video conference from July 01. In this series, hearing of 34 cases was conducted before the 2 Member Bench headed by Justice Shri Shantanu S Kemkar on July 07. About 20 lawyers and parties participated from remote areas by attending the hearing through video conferencing at video conferencing chamber of the Commission’s office.

 

Shivkumar sharma shifted to Energy Dept

Bhopal: The State Government has posted the Additional Chief Engineer Shivkumar Sharma of the Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company to the post of officer on Special Duty of Energy Department. Order has been issued in this connection.

 

Claims on voter list to be taken till july 25

Bhopal: Claims and Objections on voters list of urban bodies and three tier panchayats will be accepted by the State Election Commission till July 25. Earlier, claims and objections were supposed to be submitted from July 01 to July 09.The Secretary Madhya Pradesh State Elections Commission DV Singh has informed that claims and objections are being received in less number because of the inconvenience of people in reaching claims and objections centres, owing to increasing Covid-19 infection cases. Hence, the date has been extended by the Commission.As per the amended programme of the State Election Commission, the period of receiving objections and claims on voters list is from July one to July 25. The last date for redressal of the claims and objection is August 05, 2020. The photo based final voters list will be displayed for public at identified places on September 02.

 

CM expresses grief over demise of Charuman

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed grief over the demise of Bundeli folk dancer Churaman Yadav. Chouhan said that Yadav, a resident of Sagar, contributed significantly to enrich the Baredi folk dance art. Chouhan has prayed to God to give peace to the soul of late Shri Yadav and strength to his family to bear this grief.

 

cm pays tribute to those killed in accident

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while expressing grief over the road accident in Katni district, paid tributes to the deceased. Chouhan has wished speedy recovery of the injured victims. The Katni district administration has also been directed to provide necessary assistance to the families affected by the accident.
