The District Transport Office, HDFC Bank Chas branch and other different 11 populated areas in Bokaro and Chas were sealed after district administration declared those areas as containment zones.
As many as 29 new coronavirus positive cases were reported on Thursday late night, informed Mukesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Bokaro. The total number of active cases reached 41 in the district while the death toll in the district stands at two, he said.
The DC informed that BMP — 4 Hanuman Nagar Chas, Chas Municipal Corporation Ward No-27 Telidih Road, Ward No-15 Purana Bazar, Ward No-32 Guru Govind Singh Nagar, Sardar Nagar, Ward No. 22 Kunwar Singh Colony, Azad Nagar at Siwandih, Sector-8 / C Gandhi Ground, Bokaro Ispat Nagar, Sector-8 / C Street-04, Sector-2 / C, Co-operative Colony have been sealed.
All the persons who were reported positive of coronavirus infection have been shifted to COVID Hospital at Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) and treatment has been started, said DC.
Kumar said that the situation is under control, there is no need to panic. He said that the Health Department team is working there. According to the history of contact with the said persons, the department is working. If necessary, samples of other people will also be examined.
Sanitizing the house and surrounding areas of the infected person is also going on. People do not need to be afraid, should cooperate with the government and district administration in defeating the global epidemic corona by using masks and following social distancing, said Kumar.
