MSY cell formed in CM office

A cell has been formed in Chief Minister’s office to suggest measures for better implementation of activities under Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana (MSY).

The Rural Development and Migration Commission vice chairman, Sharad Singh Negi has been made  head of this cell while Mahendra Singh Kunwar of HARC and CM’s economic adviser Alok Bhatt have been made its members. It will be recalled that MSY was initiated on  lines of Pradhan Mantri Swarozgar Yojana to facilitate self employment for more people and provide such opportunities for natives who have returned to Uttarakhand.

Provision for loan and grants was made to facilitate work in construction and service sectors under this scheme.

With various departments being linked to the MSY, cell in CM’s office has been formed to ensure coordination with departments.

 Linking the self employment schemes of various departments with this scheme, special focus has been laid on horticulture, agriculture, micro food processing, animal husbandry, poultry, organic farming and dairy among other activities.More than 150 works are included in  MSY.

The head of the cell, Sharad Singh Negi informed that efforts will be undertaken to boost self employment in  mountainous districts of State.

Coordination will also be established with various departments undertaking self employment schemes so that  maximum possible number of youth are able to receive benefit of self employment, he added.
