The State Cabinet on Tuesday approved a tender of Rs 138,74,48,210 for construction of a high-level bridge over the Subarnarekha river in Baleswar district.
The tender is the lowest one awarded to L&T Geo-L&T UJV DFSB-5 Company.
The bridge would be 993.12 meter long and 62.07 meter wide connecting Jamkunda under Baliapal block to Adangapantei under Bhograi block and the construction work would be completed within 30 months, informed a Government release.
The proposed bridge would provide direct link between Baliapal block and Bhograf block and also connect the economically and culturally important places like Subamarekha mouth port, Chandaneswar and Bhusundeswar etc.
It will improve better communication facilities and reduce distance between the two blocks resulting in industrial and economic development of the people of those areas, informed the release.
