Woman delivers baby in train

A passenger of the Kazipet-Balangir Shramik Special train delivered a baby girl at the Titlagarh railway station on Sunday.

According to East Coast Railway sources, the woman Hema Kanti complained of labour pain and gave birth to the baby at around 10.15 am in the presence of the Railway Divisional Medical Officer after the train reached the railway station. The mother and the baby were shifted from the train at 10.55 am to the Government hospital. Their conditions were stated to be stable.

Notably, on Friday, a 35-year-old woman of Balangir had delivered a baby boy in the Secunderabad-Balangir Shramik Special train.
