‘Led Gayan’, ‘Ahir Nritya’ performed at MPSTM under ‘Gamak’

Under Gamak series Pt. Vinod Mishra gave a sponteneous performance of  ‘Led Gayan’ and ‘Ahir Nritya’ was performed by  Sachin Chaudhary at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum.

 The performance began with Led Gayan by Mishra. He performed songs like 'Hat Par Gaura Naar', 'Hans Ask Raja Ram, Pawan Sut Garh Lanka Kya Bani', 'Je Hori Khelein Ram Lala', 'Mangat Dan Dahi Ko ',' Lagi-lagi Khajura Ki Haat Re ',' Alvelli Akela Na Jaiyo ',' Jar Jiyo Pan Tero Bazar ',' Tum Durai Se Leo Identity Nand ',' Lohagarh Tad Mukam Firangi . On the stage in the presentation he was accompanied by Narayan Singh Kushwaha and Harnam Singh Kushwaha in Sahagayan and in playing - on flute- Virendra Kore, on tabla- Manoj Mishra, on Mridang- Mathura dynasty and on Manjire- Milind Mishra gave accompaniment.

Pt. Vinod Mishra took the education of lead singing from his father Pt. Mahesh Mishra and has performed at many prestigious forums in the country. Presently, Shri Mishra is working on folk music, rituals and traditions.

The second performance was 'Ahir Nritya' by Sachin Chaudhary and group.

Ahir dance is a male dominated dance, its tradition has been going on since time immemorial. During the dance, the couplet goes with a long terrain of proverbs and this dance begins with a padchanchala in a circular shape. Ahir Nritya is celebrated on the second day of Deepawali by worshiping Kartik Shukla Pratipada of Govardhan Parvat, under this tradition, Yaduvanshi worships Gaudhan with various astra-sastras and singing ahiri from door to door and wishing everyone peace and happiness.
