While lockdown is in force in Pallahara since May 5, the sub divisional administration has imposed shutdown for five days from May 12 to 16 because of the rapidly rising Covid positive cases.
The markets of Pallahara town and Khamar will be closed during thedays and in addition to the lockdown rules, some special restrictionshave to be followed during the days.
Any meeting and free movement are restricted. Near about 17 Covidpositive patients have already died in the locality creating ashockwave here. The infection is spreading rapidly ward-wise inPallahara sub division.
Earlier, the Pallahara Press Club had presented a memorandum fordeclaring a shutdown in the town and commencing institutionalquarantine centres to the Angul Collector through the Sub-Collector. Meanwhile, the traders’ bodies of Pallahara town and Khamarhave supported the move.
