Hry gives benefit of EPF to gramin chowkidars
Chandigarh: Haryana government has decided to give benefits of Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to gramin chowkidars in the state so as to ensure their social security. A spokesperson said that a proposal in this regard has been approved by the Chief Minister Manohar Lal. Now, the Gramin Chowkidars will be given the benefit of EPF at the rate of 12 per cent. He informed that 7,017 Gramin Chowkidars of the state will be benefited by this decision and the government exchequer will bear a financial burden of about Rs. 7.07 crore per annum.
Mohali receives support to tackle COVID-19
SAS Nagar: The appeal by Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan to the industry was well reciprocated with the district receiving generous support in the form supply orders of two oxygen plants and Rs 10 lakh for Covid relief activities to be conducted through District Red Cross Society. The Saraswati Agro Chemicals(India) Pvt. Ltd promised installation of 100 LPM oxygen plant for Kharar sub-divisional hospital. Handing the purchase order Lalit Bansal from Saraswati Agro assured that plant installation will be complete within four weeks. He also donated in the memory of his grandparents Lt Karam Chand Bansal and Lt Jamuna Devi, Rs 10 lakh to District Red Cross Society to carry out covid relief activities. The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI), rising to occasion also placed an order of1000 LPM oxygen plant for the district.
UHBVN to hold grievance redressal forum Chandigarh: Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam will hold the proceedings of the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum on May 21 between 10 am to 4 pm at the office of the Executive Engineer, Panchkula. The chairman and members of the forum will participate in it. A spokesperson said the members of the forum will take up the problems of consumers, primarily related to billing, voltage, complaints regarding meters, connection-related complaints, complaints regarding power cut offs, efficiency, safety, unreliability and non-compliance of orders of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission etc.
