Bypoll results have nothing to do with Assembly polls due next year: HP CM

Tuesday, 30 November 2021 | PNS | Shimla

Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Monday said the results of recently held by-elections have given a little time to rejoice for the

Congress but these results have nothing to do with the upcoming Assembly polls in the State.

“The results of 2022 Assembly elections would be very different as the BJP would again form government in Himachal,” said Thakur after dedicating 96 developmental projects worth Rs 381 crore to the people of Dharampur Assembly constituency in Mandi district.

The ruling BJP had recently faced major embarrassment with its arch rival Congress securing victory on the Mandi Lok Sabha seat and all three assembly seats - Fatehpur, Arki and Jubbal-Kotkhai, which went to bypoll on October 30.

Thakur said, the nation is safe in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is giving befitting reply to any misadventures of the neighbouring nations. He said that abrogation of Article 370, construction of Lord Ram Temple at Ayodhya was possible due to the strong leadership and political will power of the Prime Minister. He said the State Government is ensuring that every section of the society and every area of the State get benefitted from the welfare and developmental schemes. It is a historic day for the people of Dharampur Vidhan Sabha area as a record 96 developmental projects were dedicated to the people of the area, he said.
