The Chhattisgarh government has so far allocated Rs 850 crores since the beginning of the pandemic in the state, it was announced on Saturday.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said his government is monitoring the situation with sensitivity and will not let any resource shortage to crop up.
In the past one year, all 28 districts have been given Rs 73.53 crores to deal with the Covid situation from the Chief Minister's relief fund.
Further, Rs 300 crores were allocated for medicine, tests and other consumable items.
Likewise, Rs 192 crores was given through the state disaster release fund, Rs 185 crores through NABARD, Rs 25 crores through Public Works Department and Rs 78 crores were allocated from the Centre-state joint assistance.
The statement further said the state government has allocated financial assistance in areas like development of Covid hospitals, patient care, medicine, nutrition and ground arrangements.
The Chief Minister has directed the Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary (Health) to continuously monitor the system.
