Chhola Mandir police have nabbed a 36-year-old father for sexually assaulting his 17-year-old daughter for past nine years; case was registered on Friday after victim and her mother lodged complaint.
Police said that the accused was caught after complaint was lodged by the victim and her mother on Friday after accused father had gone for work.
Shockingly mother was aware of the atrocity with victim but was threatened by accused of life. In the night on June 10 accused sexually assaulted her and when victim’s mother opposed he assaulted her and thrashed her.
On Friday afternoon after accused left for work victim along with mother approached police and lodged complaint. In the complaint victim stated that she was sexually assaulted by her father for the past nine years and when she was reported atrocity to her mother she opposed but was beaten brutally and continued his atrocity.
The accused works as a cook with a hotel and escaped from the spot after complaint was lodged.
After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case of sexual assault and sections of the POCSO Act and have started further investigation. The victim left studies and used to live at home during which she was targeted by her father.
