Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will chair a high-level meeting on September 15 on the issue of road blockade on the Kundli-Singhu border near Sonipat district on national highway no-44 due to the ongoing farmers’ protest against the three central farm laws.
Giving details in this regard, the state’s Home Minister Anil Vij on Tuesday told the mediapersons that the Chief Minister will hold a high-level meeting on the issue of road blockade due to farmers’ protest. The Supreme Court has given directions that the farmers protesting on Kundli-Singhu border should give way to common man and shift to one side of the road, he said. A meeting will be held on how to go about this matter as the common man has been suffering for the last several months due to the road blocked by the protestors, Vij said. Earlier in the day, the Sonipat District Administration had also held a meeting with farmers’ representatives to urge them to give way on one side of the road for common man.
