Himachal Government on Friday approved 13 projects for setting up new industrial enterprises and expansion of existing units involving a total proposed investment of about Rs 509.86 crore in the state.
The meeting of State Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority (SSWC&MA) held under the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur gave approval to the projects, which has employment potential of about 2,161 persons.
An official spokesman said that new proposals approved by the Authority include proposals of M/s Qualitek Starch Pvt. Ltd. Sirmour for manufacturing of starch, gluten, germ and fiber; M/s Okaya Power Private Limited, Solan for manufacturing of EV chargers, lithium packs, li- modules, solar system or solar lighting system etc; Deep Green Air Manufacturers Pvt. Ltd. Una, for manufacturing of tablet, capsule, syrup, injection, ointment; M/s Jai Bhawani Industries Unit-II, Solan for manufacturing of toilet soap and liquid soap; M/s Onyx Biotec Pvt. Ltd., unit-II, Solan for manufacturing of IV Fluids; M/s Ian Macleod Distillers India Pvt. Ltd. Una for manufacturing of malt spirit, cattle feed (bye products).
Expansion proposals approved by the Authority include proposals of M/s Wipro Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. Solanfor manufacturing of toilet soap, soupy noodles, glycerin, glucovita, safewash, personal care product, LED bulb, etc.
M/s H M Steels Limited Sirmour for manufacturing of MS Billet, MS Flat, ERW Pipes, GI Pipes etc; Metrocraft, Solan for setting up of industrial unit for manufacturing of ointment and cream; M/s Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. Solan for manufacturing of handwash, toilet soap among other projects, the spokesman said.
Industries Minister Bikram Singh, Chief Secretary Anil Khachi, Additional Chief Secretary Industries Ram Subhag Singh and other senior officers were present during the meeting.
