Indian Medical Association (IMA) Ranchi unit secretary Dr Sudhir Kumar has hailed spiritual leader Sadhguru for defending doctors during a tough time when they are being targeted despite working hard to fight Covid-19 both in government as well as in private hospitals.
Talking to The Pioneer in Dhanbad on Sunday, Dr Kumar expressed deep concern over the attacks on doctors though they treat patients with utmost care.
Dr. Kumar said, “It appears to be true as Sadhguru during a debate on TV stated that with implementation of consumer protection act on private hospitals the government was forced to convert those to just any other business like selling TV, fridge etc. Doctors are held responsible for negligence in service but what about other professionals who are indulged in negligence for personal benefits.”
Governments' most stringent laws of pollution control and more are must for private hospitals and even practicing doctors. But the same is not true with the government managed hospitals.
There are several other facts that are not known to the common man but despite that only the doctor is targeted even if they are not at fault, he said .
He requested the common mass not to be misled by rumours and support doctors at this hard time when they are attending patents despite all odds.
Dr. Kumar also requested the government to ensure justice for doctors.
