Press Information Bureau, and UNICEF in partnership with Health Department of Government of Madhya Pradesh had organized this meet, in which need of vaccination, highlighted and myths and rumours which are being floated in rural areas, were clarified and these myths were clarified, and right information shared with participants of webnair.
Prashant Pathrabe, Additional Director General, Press Information Bureau, MP shared the importance of the meet and need to talk about importance of vaccination, and to break various myths being floated around in rural areas.
Speaking at the webnair, Dr Santosh Shukla, State Immunization Officer, National Health Mission, spoke on the COVID19 vaccination, schedule, need of getting vaccinated, steps being taken by the State, for increasing vaccination. He clarified and answered question from farmers on various myths and rumors being floated. He added that vaccine is safe and that vaccination and COVID19 protocols are two ways to fight COVID19.
Dr C.R. Mehta, Director Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering spoke on the farmers need to go in for physical distancing and other protocols as we are working in the field. Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering linked farmers to this meet.
Dr Vandana Bhatia Health Specialist, clarified on questions from field on vaccination and repeated the need to us double facemask, handwashing with soap, and physical distancing. Anil Gulati Communication Specialist, UNICEF supported the interaction and the meet.
Amrendar Mishra of Krishak Jagat and Virendar Vishwakarma of National Krishi Mail, agricultural magazines shared feedback from ground and thoughts on steps which can be taken to strengthen immunization in rural areas. Akhil Namdev, and Prem Kuma from PIB were part of the meet.
