Constructions of the three chariots of Lord Jagannath and Hissiblings will begin with participation of a minimum number of servitors on the AkhayaTrutiya as per customs. Except the duty-bound servitors, there would nopermission to any devotees and general public to visit the construction site on the Badadanda (Grand Road).A decision in this regard was made in a Chhatisaijog meeting here heldon a virtual mode on Tuesday.The Chhatisajog is a body of the temple servitors. The video conferenceheld under the chairmanship of Chief Administrator of the JagannathTemple Dr Krishna Kumar connected with the head of servitors.
Themeeting took a decision to launch a Covid testing centre especiallyfor servitors where families tied with therituals in the shrine can test their blood.
Besides, a decision wastaken that all the rituals and practices of deities in the run up tothe Rath Yatra would be performed in strict compliance with the Covidprotocols. District Collector Samarth Verma who is Additional ChiefAdministrator of shrine and SP K Vishal Singh were present in thevirtual meeting.
