Unidentified miscreants chopped off head of a lady Pratibha Dey during road robbery on Tuesday late night.
Resident of Sushnileve village under Baliapur police station, she was returning with her husband Uttam Dey and two year old son home on a two-wheeler after consulting a doctor in Dhanbad .
The incident took place near Brea forest while miscreants attacked the couple with sharp edged weapons in an attempt of loot but unfortunately murdered the lady .Uttam too sustained injuries while attempted to save his wife and son .
Sindri sub-divisional police officer Abhishek Kumar who reached on spot after receiving information said , Baliapur police is conducting raids for arrest of miscreants. Police patrolling in the area would be intensified, he added.
An Autopsy was conducted on Wednesday morning and the body was handed over to the victim's family.
