No more strikes and demonstrations by Health Dept employees: Unions assures Punjab Dy CM

Following an assurance by Punjab Deputy Chief Minister-cum-Health and Family Welfare Minister OP Soni, various unions of employees of Health Department have assured to withdraw strikes and demonstrations.

Soni, in response, thanked  associations who, in interest of patients, have agreed to resume seamless delivery of health services.

“The ethics of medical profession seek putting needs of the sick and ailing before self interest. I thank all Associations who have conceded to request by government and have assured withdrawal of strikes. I assure that government will reciprocate their gesture in most positive manner,” said Soni. Giving details, Deputy Chief Minister informed that meetings were with representatives of staff nurses union, NHM employees, ANMs, Covid Volunteers, 108 Ambulance drivers, and doctors at his office on Tuesday, in presence of senior officers of Department of Health.
