Rajendra Kumar Shyam, born in village-Patangarh in Dindori district, Madhya Pradesh, is a young painter of the Gond community.
As a child, Rajendra's mind would also get attracted to many shapes of clay on the walls of the houses. Ethnic stories continued to be heard from the elders of the village. The forms of those stories continued to take shape in his imaginations.
For the first time, with almost trembling hands, he held colors and brushes, and from here he entered the vast field of painting.
From the year 2004, Rajendra completely devoted himself to painting, in the early years of his artistry Rajendra, highly influenced by the shapes of Jangarh and then by the paintings of Bhjusinh Shyam, gradually gave a different direction to his designs. started up.
Rajendra is more fond of depicting nature in different forms in his paintings. They also do not use very bright colors. The coordination of wildlife and flora is seen in his paintings. Also, the stories heard in childhood are also seen in their paintings in vibrant and artistic form.
Rajendra first participated as a participant in the Chitra Camp organised at Amarkantak, the Narmada originating site, since then active participation in various Chitra Camps organised in various cities across the country including Bhopal, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, as well as many Chitra Pictures created by them have also been displayed in exhibitions, Rajendra has been actively painting in the last seventeen years of his picture creation journey.
